By booking, attending, or participating in any class, workshop, event, or activity conducted by Mois Art Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings, Cancellations & Refunds
- All class, workshop, event, and session bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- No cancellations, refunds, credits, or exchanges will be provided for missed classes, change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend.
- Special consideration may be granted at the sole discretion of management in exceptional circumstances. Participants are encouraged to contact the studio via email or text message as soon as possible if they are unable to attend.
2. Late Arrival & Session Extensions
- Participants are responsible for arriving on time for their booked session.
- Late arrivals do not entitle participants to additional time or refunds.
- Where a participant requests or requires an extension beyond the scheduled session time, additional fees may apply at the applicable hourly rate and must be paid on the same day.
Example:
- A $120 two-hour class may incur an extension fee of $60 per additional hour, plus any applicable material, firing, or service fees.
- Session extensions are subject to staff availability and studio capacity.
3. Teacher/Facilitator Availability
- In the event that the teacher, facilitator, or Mois Art Studio is unable to provide the booked session due to illness, emergency, venue issues, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Mois Art Studio reserves the right to reschedule the session to a mutually agreed date and time.
- Where rescheduling is not possible, participants may be offered a studio credit, transfer to another available session, or a refund at the discretion of Mois Art Studio.
- Mois Art Studio shall not be liable for any indirect costs, losses, travel expenses, accommodation expenses, or other consequential damages arising from the cancellation, postponement, or rescheduling of a session.
Force Majeure
- Mois Art Studio shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to provide services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government restrictions, power outages, venue closures, transport disruptions, illness, injury, or other emergency situations.
4. Studio Conduct
- Mois Art Studio is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
The studio has a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Bullying or harassment
- Discrimination of any kind
- Hate speech
- Threatening, abusive, or unlawful behaviour
- Conduct that places others at risk or causes disruption
- Management reserves the right to remove any participant from the premises without refund if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
5. Privacy & Media Consent
- Mois Art Studio respects the privacy and confidentiality of all participants.
- Photographs, videos, testimonials, stories, or social media content will only be taken or shared with participant consent.
- Participants may withdraw consent at any time by notifying management in writing.
6. Pottery & Ceramic Disclaimer
- Ceramic work is a handmade process involving clay preparation, drying, trimming, glazing, kiln firing, handling, storage, and transportation.
- Participants acknowledge and accept that ceramic pieces may crack, warp, chip, bubble, blister, craze, break, explode, suffer glaze defects, become damaged, or otherwise fail during any stage of the ceramic process.
- Glaze colours, finishes, textures, and outcomes may vary and cannot be guaranteed.
- Minor imperfections, variations, marks, and colour differences are considered part of the handmade ceramic process and do not constitute defects.
- Mois Art Studio does not guarantee the successful completion, appearance, durability, or final outcome of any ceramic work.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mois Art Studio, its employees, contractors, and associated firing facilities are not liable for any loss, damage, breakage, firing failure, glazing defect, delay, deterioration, or destruction of ceramic works arising from the normal ceramic process.
- Where a piece is lost or damaged while under the care and control of Mois Art Studio, the studio may, at its sole discretion:
-Offer a workshop credit of equivalent value;
-Offer the opportunity to recreate a substantially similar piece; or
-Provide another reasonable remedy determined by management.
-No cash refunds will be provided for pottery outcomes affected by the inherent risks of ceramics.
7. Pottery Completion & Collection
- Pottery pieces generally require approximately four (4) to six (8) weeks for drying, firing, glazing, and completion. Timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on kiln schedules, weather conditions, studio workload, and external firing services.
- Participants may contact the studio at any time regarding the status of their pieces.
- Completed pottery must be collected within three (3) months of notification.
- Mois Art Studio reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, donate, or otherwise remove uncollected works after three (3) months without compensation or liability.
8. Payments
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing by management.
- Management may, at its sole discretion, permit deposits, payment plans, or alternative payment arrangements.
- Failure to pay outstanding fees may result in:
-Suspension of services;
-Withholding of completed artworks or pottery;
-Cancellation of future bookings; and/or
-Referral to a third-party debt collection agency or legal recovery process.
-Any costs incurred in recovering unpaid amounts may be recoverable from the participant where permitted by law.
9. Acceptance of Terms
- By making a booking, attending a session, or participating in any activity conducted by Mois Art Studio, participants acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
